Day01: Arrival at Paro International Airport and transfer to the hotel
Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, the representative from Dream Bhutan will receive you outside the airport terminal hall and escort you to the hotel at Paro.

Day02: Paro Sightseeing
Today, you will visit a watchtower built in the 17th century by Rinpung Dzong to defend against Tibetan invaders.
It was inaugurated as a National Museum in 1968. It has a fascinating collection of art, relics, religious Thangkha Paintings, and exquisite postage stamps.
Next, you will walk down a hillside trail to visit Ringpung Dzong, which has long and interesting stories to tell. It was built by the first spiritual and temporal ruler of Bhutan – Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, in 1646.
The Dzong is the central administration of the Paro district. You will walk through a traditional bridge festooned with a prayer flag called Nemi Zam, which offers a great view of the architectural wonder of the Dzong and the life around it.

Day03:Paro – Shana (2,870m/5 – 6 hours)
The trek starts from Drukgyel Dzong and continues to Shana, gradually ascending along the Paro River and lush farmland and villages.

Day04:Shana – Thangthangka (3,860m/6-7 hours)
Today, we start with a gradual climb along the Paro River and a lush forest of conifer & rhododendron. We reach the campsite on a flat meadow surrounded by conifer and birch forest. On a clear day, you will get a stunning view of Mt. Jhomolhari Peak.

Day05:Thangthangkha – Jangothang (4,040m/ 5 – 6 hours)
Today’s trail follows the array post, and the valley starts to widen up and reach the winter house of Yak herder. We camp beneath a ruined fortress at the base of Mt. Jhomolhari.

Day06:Rest day at Jangothang
Today, we take a rest and acclimatize halt at Jangothang to prepare for the highest climb of the trek. We hike to the surrounding area and explore the nearby mountains and lakes.

Day07:Jangothang – Lingshi
Today, we follow a stream for half an hour and cross a bridge. Then we ascend an uphill to the first ridge, which commands superb views of Jhomolkari, Jichu Drake, and Tshering Gang.
Then, we climb uphill to Ngye La Pass at 4,700m and gradually descend to Lingshi Camp.

Day08: Lingshi – Shodu (4,100m/9 hours)
Today, we continue trekking beyond Lingshi and reach the juncture point of the Laya Gasa Route and the Jhomolharo trail. The trail reaches the ridge's top with a small, white chorten and then veers south towards the deep Mo Chhu valley.
The trail stays on the west side of a largely treeless valley and climbs steadily above Mo Chhu. It then crosses a river and crosses Yeli La Pass (4,820m), which takes about 2 hours. The pass serves great views of Jhomolhari, Gangchen Ta, Tshering Gang, and Masang Gang.
Then, the trail takes a downhill hike along a stream to a shelter and dips down to a campsite at Shodu (4,100m), a meadow with a chorten.

Day08:Shodu – Barshong (3,600m/ 7 hours)
Today, we walk through the tree line again. The trail follows the Thimpu River and climbs down through the magnificent forest of rhododendrons, juniper, and other alpine trees.
The view of the cliff overlooking the water is spellbinding. We have a hot lunch near the river. After lunch, the trail climbs up to the ruins of Barshong Dzong Campsite.

Day09:Barshong – Dolam Kemcho (3,600m/6 hours)
Today, we continue through the lush rhododendron and birch forest and drop down to Thimpu Chhu.
Walking along the left side of the river, we start climbing over the ridges and descending to the side streams. Then we climb a cliff to reach our campsite at Dolam Kencho.

Day10:Dolam Kencho – Dodena (2,600m) – Thimpu – 3 hours
Today, we head southward to Dodena, where we will be transferred to the hotel at Thimpu via private vehicle.

Day11:Thimpu Sightseeing
Today, you will spend your entire day exploring the sights and sounds of the city. You will visit King’s Memorial Chorten, a spiritual site of the Kingdom built in memory of the Third King (father of modern Bhutan). You will also explore Trashichhoe Dzong, “a fortress of the glorious region,” which serves as the center of government and seat of Je Khenpo or Chief Abbot.
After lunch, you will visit the National Library, which holds an extensive collection of ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts, some of which date back several hundred years.
You will also see the nearby Institute of Zorig Chusum, an Arts & Crafts School where you will witness students learning 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan.
You will also visit the Textile Museum, which provides insight into Bhutanese material culture and lifestyle.

Day12:Final Departure
