Day 01: ARRIVE PARO, DRIVE TO THIMPHU (L/D)
Upon arrival in Paro, clear customs and immigration. You’ll keep a copy of the visa clearance letter handy when your visa has been paid.
Our representative from Dream Tibet Travel & Tours will greet you on arrival and after a 1 hour 30 minutes drive, you’ll reach Thimphu Chu while enjoying the views of traditional houses and the daily lives of local people.
We’ll reach Thimphu and check in at your hotel, freshen up, and rest for some time. After that, we’ll visit Buddha Dordenma, a massive 51-meter-tall statue of Budhha located on a hilltop. It offers panoramic views of Thimphu Valley.
Then we’ll take a 30-minute drive to Memorial Chorten, a white and tall landmark that was built in 1974 in memory of the third King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk, where you can explore the stunning paintings and mandalas. It contains statues and iconography of deities from complex tantric teachings and serves as an important place of worship for Thimphu residents.
After that, we’ll continue our visits to the Traditional School of Arts & crafts, also known as the National Institute of Zorig Chusum. It is famous for preserving and teaching the country’s 13 traditional arts and crafts to safeguard Bhutanese artistic heritage and provide vocational training to students.
Next, we’ll head to Tashichho Dzong which is a fortress and monastery. This fortress serves as the office of the King, ministers, and various government organizations. It also is the headquarters for the central monastic body of Bhutan.
And then we’ll head back to our hotel and have our meal. After that, you can take some rest and stroll around the city.

Day 02: THIMPHU – PUNAKHA (B/L/D)
Later we’ll visit Punakha Dzong which was built strategically at the junction of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to serve as the religious and administrative centre of the region. It was damaged by four catastrophic fires and an earthquake but the Dzong has now been fully restored.
After that, we’ll drive to Wangdue Phodrang to visit Dzong and the local market. The district of Wangduephodrang is also famous for its bamboo products, slate, and stone carvings.

Day 03: PUNAKHA – PARO (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Paro to take a walk around the Hontsho village where the Tibetan refugees have been living in Bhutan since fleeing Tibet in the 1950s and 1960s. This village is famous for its Tibetan Buddhist culture, traditional houses, and prayer flags adorning the hills. Then continue to drive to Paro.

Day 04: PARO (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we’ll head to Tiger's Nest. This hike takes approximately 4 hours. After the hike, you may visit Kichu Lhakhang, the National Museum, and the farmhouse if time permits.
